I thought it might be a good idea to give some tips and tricks about the English language.
In this respect i found two nice websites that may help to improve your skills.
One of them is a german site and the other is made by the BBC and therefore it is completely in english.
You should try them both to see which one you like best.

Additionally, for those of you who don't know it yet, there is an online dictionary, that also gives good explanations. People searching for french or spanish words will be happy to see that the dictionary works for those languages as well... 8)

If I'm having a translation problem because i forget a word or something similar than I'm using LEO and I have to say that this side ist very good and helpfull.
Also for translations in other languages.

owad stands for "one word a day"
you just have to log in and you will get one english word per mail every day. there are also exercises, help with the pronounciation and memory hooks to memorize the new words.
